Our History
Young Women of Destiny was honored by the 79th Texas Legislatures with a congratulatory resolution submitted by State of Texas Representative Dawnna Dukes, an excerpt states "YWOD is making valuable difference in the lives of youth in the Lone Star State."
YWOD was founded in December of 2004 by Estelle M. Brooks for the purpose of assisting and training God-honoring young women to successfully transition from adolescences to young adulthood by applying biblical and leadership principles to every area of their lives.
Now in our fifth year of service to the greater Austin area YWOD continues to experience exponential growth each year; in August, 2006 Young Men of Destiny was successfully launched. Our desire is that Young Women and Men of Destiny will be a model youth organization in the state of Texas and across the country.
